No masking, no burnout, and definitely no pretending to be someone you’re not. Just real relationships built in ways that work for your spicy brain.
So why am I doing this?
I used to hide behind a mask to make others feel comfortable, I constantly forgot to respond to text messages, and I laid awake at night wondering why the heck it all made me feel so lonely.
And then it hit me - all the emotional dysregulation, overwhelm, and lack of systems that comes with having ADHD were preventing me from having the kind of friendships I always wanted.
So I sat down and tried to figure out:
What aspects of ADHD were preventing me from having my ideal social life? And how could I work WITH my ADHD to have more fulfilling friendships?
After lots and lots of trial and error, I built systems that made connection feel natural, and now I have the kind of friendships I used to dream about.
Oh, and I’m in my 30s, living in Los Angeles. Always down to talk fantasy book theories, travel stories, or what it’s like being a neurodivergent human. ✨
